Do you want to know what your PSP can do ? You may have already known about what it can or can’t do. For example, when it comes to converting a Pandora battery and/or installing a custom firmware. Then have a look at jas0nuk’s PSPident. Once started, you will see the following screedshot-

See it? Good. Now make it the same as the information with this reference guide and you’re set. You will find that my slim is able to install and runn a custom firmware, while it cannot cannot Pandoraize a battery.
PSPident 0.4 changes:
- Long overdue update. Congrats to all the PSP-3000 users who can finally use homebrew!
- Updated all the data with the latest available, so it now detects TA-088 v1/v2/v3, TA-090 v1 (final version of Slim) and TA-090 v2 (first version of PSP-3000 or “Brite”).
- Due to a lack of info, TA-088 v1 and v2 are indistinguishable and will appear as such on the app.

You just got know the newly discovered TIFF exploit which runs on running on PSP-1000 (Fat) models with firmware 5.03. Today, you would be happy to know that the same exploit can now workd on the PSP-2000(slim), however,it stiil cannot apply on PSP 3000 as MATiAz said. We can just wait to see can it finally work some day?
What you just witnessed appears to be a PSP-3000 running firmware 5.02 that is indeed vulnerable to MaTiAz’s or some derivation of MaTiAz’s TIFF exploit. As always, stay tuned.
This quick how-to guide assumes you already have a hacked PSP running custom firmware 3.80 M33 or later.
- Go to Recovery Console and switch USB DEVICE to UMD Disc.
- Copy the data from UMD onto your PC.
- When it’s done, switch USB to memory stick.
- Copy the data into your ISO folder on the memory stick.
Alternatively you can use PSP Filer to dump the UMD directly to your memory stick, creating an ISO-9660 compliant image, without the need for a USB connection.
- Download PSP Filer.
- Extract archive and copy PSP Filer to PSP/GAME on your memory stick.
- Start PSP Filer from the XMB Game menu.
- Once PSP Filer has booted, press Triangle then R-Trigger.
- Enter the desired file name (.iso) and press enter.
- Wait and watch the ripping process…
